To celebrate Setsubun, we will be holding the "Oni-san Diver" event, in which a diver dressed as a demon will appear in the "Pacific Ocean" tank , where Whale shark live.

"Oni-san Diver" was planned with the hope that visitors would become interested in the wonderful world of the ocean while experiencing the changing seasons in the tank. The event was first held in 2005, and this year marks its 22nd year.

During the period, the acrylic panels and bottom sand of the "Pacific Ocean" tank will be cleaned three times a day, and in between work, staff will wave to visitors and pose for commemorative photos, creating a Setsubun atmosphere unique to Kaiyukan.
