About general groups

Reservations can be made for groups of 20 or more people aged 3 or over, such as children's groups, vocational schools, universities, companies, etc.
Foreign visitors to Japan must be in groups of 15 or more.
Group reservations are also possible for welfare facilities with one or more disability certificate holders, such as disability support facilities and long-term care insurance facilities.
It is possible to reserve a group visit time in advance.
There are no discounts on the rates.

Fee

Admission fees are variable.

The adult fare of ¥3,200 applies only to reservations made from 15:00 onwards.
We are not accepting reservations for dates on which the adult fare of ¥3,500 applies.

Admission fees for people with disabilities

Those who hold a physical disability certificate, rehabilitation certificate, atomic bomb victim health certificate, or mental disability health and welfare certificate issued in Japan, and one caregiver, may enter the museum at half price.
Discounts cannot be applied with various recipient cards.
You must present the original copy of your disability certificate (or the Mirairo ID disability certificate app). Screenshots and printouts are not accepted.
If your passport is currently being renewed and you no longer have it on hand, you can receive a discount if you present a copy of your passport at the ticket counter within six months of the expiration date.

The same fare applies even if you are only boarding or disembarking.
If it exceeds 5 hours, an additional 2,500 yen will be charged.

Please send the group application form by email or fax at least one year to two weeks before your visit.

A group admission confirmation and price list will be sent to you by Kaiyukan.
*If we are unable to accommodate your request, you will be contacted by Kaiyukan and asked to resubmit your application for a different date and time.
After checking the group admission confirmation, please reply to Kaiyukan.
You will be contacted by Kaiyukan within one week to confirm your reservation.

Admission

Payment: Please come to the Group Reception on the 2nd floor of the Entrance Building before reception time to confirm the number of people and make final payment.
Meeting place: Please gather at the event plaza ready to enter the facility, having used the restroom, taken photographs, etc., before your reserved time for entry.
Preparation: Please inform a member of staff when you are ready to enter the building.
Entrance: You will be guided to the entrance and a staff member will count the number of people. Please make sure that the representative checks the number of people together.

If you are late for your appointment, you will have to wait. Please arrive early.

Rest area available for groups

[Easy to use for lunches and breaks] Event space

The event plaza is in front of the entrance to Kaiyukan.
You can spread out a picnic sheet and have space to eat with a large group of people.
There are some places where it is not available. Please check the map here.

[No problem even if it rains] Group rest area (Tempozan Marketplace)

You may also use the group rest area in Tempozan Marketplace , a facility next to the Kaiyukan Aquarium Kaiyukan. Please let us know when you make your group reservation.

Reasons why Kaiyukan is recommended for group use

1. Easy access

Easy access to the famous sites in the Kansai area. You can travel to the historical sites of Kyoto and Nara within 1.5 hours.
Check transportation access

2. One-way streets make it hard to get lost inside the building.

The Aquarium of Kaiyukan is a one-way street with only one exit, so you can explore freely without worrying about getting lost.
It takes 90 to 120 minutes to complete your tour inside the building.

3. You can move indoors to each facility. OK even on rainy days.

Since it is an indoor facility, you can enjoy it smoothly even on rainy days.
In case of rain, we will provide a "group rest area" for lunch.
A spacious indoor space equipped with a washroom and toilet.

We do not accept reservations in advance to secure a spot. If you wish to use a spot, please inform the group reception immediately before use on the day of your visit.
Depending on capacity, you may have to wait if the venue is full.
Please use the picnic sheets while eating.

4. Plenty of restaurants for groups!

Within Tempozan Harbor Village, there are over 40 dining establishments offering a variety of cuisines, from Osaka gourmet to Western food.
There are also plenty of restaurants that can accommodate large group reservations.
