Spotted garden eel
Body shapes and patterns that humans may think are "cute!" or "beautiful!" actually have meaning for the survival of living creatures.
For example, Spotted garden eel are very wary and cautious.
They hide most of their long bodies in the sand and watch what is going on around them. The Spotted garden eel's tail fin is flat, so it can skillfully dig into the sand and dive quickly.
Clown anemonefish
Clown anemonefish normally hide in poisonous sea anemones to protect themselves from predators.
Therefore, they have a shape that makes them easily confused with sea anemones. Try looking for creatures hiding in the exhibition area!
